Save $50 on JBL Pulse 3 Waterproof Speaker and JBL Reflect Flow Review
Summer isn't complete without the perfect playlist. Even if you won't be soaking up sun next to a pool, a waterproof speaker is still a good idea for the hot months where sweaty hands and spilled drinks are a common occurrence.
The JBL Pulse 3 features 360-degree sound and a 360-degree light show. You can customize the light experience through the JBL Connect app and even synchronize with other Pulse 3 speakers.
With wireless audio streaming that lasts up to 12 hours on a single battery charge, this speaker is sure to be the star of all of your summer shenanigans this year.
The JBL Pulse 3 earned "excellent" marks in PCMag's review and praise for its "solid audio performance with rich lows and crisp, well-defined highs." We also said the "LED light show is unique and entertaining."
JBL seems to churn out more true wireless earphones these days than just about any other manufacturer. As you can probably tell from the name and the design, the $149.95 Reflect Flow are waterproof in-ears aimed at the exercise crowd. If big, boosted bass motivates you during your workouts, you won't be disappointed. The earphones also offer an exceptionally secure fit, and a useful Ambient Aware mode that lets you hear your surroundings, making JBL's latest a strong contender in a field of many solid options.
Available in black, blue, green, or teal models, the Reflect Flow earpieces have a large but lightweight build. The earpieces utilize earfins (three sizes ship with the earphones) that are separate from the eartips (three sizes are also included), so you shouldn't have trouble finding the ideal fit with the ability to mix and match fins and tips.
The earphones are rated IPX7, meaning they can be submerged in water. We wouldn't necessarily recommend swimming with them, but technically, they should be able to handle being submerged up to a meter, and can definitely handle the pressure from a hard rain or a faucet for rinsing. Just keep in mind the case isn't waterproof, so putting wet earphones in it will likely mean trouble.
